Good luck with the publishers and I’ll look for a western/apocolyptic book.
Haha thanks, not holding my breath though. And check out The Dark Tower book series by Stephen King, that is a post-apocalyptic Western. Also had comic books made for the series not too long ago (now can be purchased in graphic novel form) that take place before the books. I believe HBO is going to be working on a TV show of The Dark Tower as well.

It sounds like it will be good once you’ve got it started. I’ll keep an eye out for it.
Don’t know if I’ll share it. After November I plan on continuing the novel (going past 50k words) and revising it like crazy after the first draft. Just using November to get the first 50k words down at least. I like the idea enough to try sending it out to some agents once I think it is ready.
Well it is taking place in the future United States years after some disaster. The main setting is taking place in the west (not sure exactly where right now except that it is desert like). I’m giving it a strong western vibe with cowboy type characters but they won’t only be carrying around six shooters. The fantasy bit comes from the characters who discover abilities/powers that aren’t normal. Kind of a bit difficult to explain I guess.

Or just search for T.G. Swenson. I’ll be writing a post-apocalyptic fantasy western (no name for it yet). More writing buddies to get to know would be nice, especially if in the Iowa City area since we could meet up at the write-ins and what not (don’t have to be in the area to add me though). Anyone want to give me theirs if they want me to add them?

I feel like most people don’t expect that ‘married man’ response on Tumblr. :P
Haha maybe not. Does mention that I am in the little info about me to the side though.
Whoo! As a friend I hope. Married man here.

You mean, new friends on Tumblr? Or are you in a new neighborhood? And, yeah, it makes sense. *pat pat* It’s okay and normal to feel that way, but I hope you get out of that funk soon enough. :)
The new neighborhood. Just aggravated I guess since I’m going to a community college and the courses that somewhat have to do with my major (creative writing/literature) are full of students that hate the subject and I need more writing/ literate friends. Hopefully I’ll make some new friends through NaNoWriMo this next month. Making myself get out and attend all the activities and write-ins that are planned.
You know, I’m quite tempted to quit trying to make new friends here.
On a side note, at least one good thing is going on. I’ve come up with the names for the characters in the novel. I’ll stick with my fictional characters being my friends and playing video games. (Not counting the wife in this, she’s already my best friend but kind of need some other friends in my life… if that makes any sense?)
*sigh* End emo post.
